TUNISIA: Jesus Appearing in Dreams

A Tunisian man came to a Christian meeting with another Tunisian believer. The first man, called Hatem, had been having the same dream for the last three years. Sometimes once a month, sometimes the dream would come daily. And he was searching for an explanation of that dream.
In the dream Hatem saw three men standing together. The man in the middle was wearing a cross around his neck. He had a blue book in his hand and he told Hatem, "Take the book and read it." The man in the middle had a long beard and wore a robe. The other men standing with him did not speak.
Hatem was frightened by the dream. He went to a local Imam (Islamic leader) and asked him what the dream meant. The Imam told him he didn't know. Then Hatem went to an orthodox church and asked about the dream and they threw Hatem out of the church. Finally Hatem saw the local protestant church and talked with the pastor. The pastor then introduced Hatem to a local Tunisian believer who brought him to a meeting.
When Hatem arrived at the church the other local believer gave Hatem a New Testament (it happened to be blue) and a copy of the Jesus film. Hatem again shared his dream and another believer said: "Well the man in the middle is a believer in Jesus or Jesus himself. The book he is holding is the Bible. He is giving you an invitation to read the Bible. You do not need to be afraid of the dream. God is giving you an invitation to read His Word. The question is 'what will your response be?' Will you accept the invitation? Will you accept the book?"
Revelation 3:20was then shared with Hatem. He was quiet for a while and then he said, "I have decided to follow Jesus." When he was asked why he said, "I have not had any peace. Now that I have decided to follow Jesus I finally have peace."
God is giving people dreams and visions of Himself in Tunisia. For Hatem it took three years and then - almost like Jesus was right in the room - Hatem opened his life to Jesus and found peace.
We want to pray that people like Hatem will find true believers in Jesus that can tell them what their dreams mean. That people like him would find the Word of God and read it and enjoy eternal peace. That people like him would be growing deeper in their fellowship with Jesus and other believers (His church).
"Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me." Revelation 3:20.
