Women to Women

Open Doors provides livelihood and self help schemes so women can support their families if their husbands are imprisioned or martyred for their faith in Jesus.

We also bring encouragement to persecuted women by visiting them in their own countries, listening to their stories, and then making their plight known to the wider body of Christ in the free Church.  

They need to receive your letters, as well as your prayers. For too long, the voices of persecuted Christian women around the world have remained unheard. Through Open Doors' Women's Ministry, we can help you respond to their cries for help in five key areas:

• Defending persecuted Christian women through prayer and advocacy
• Serving suffering women through supplying bibles and providing literacy and bible training
• Providing support for hard-pressed Christian women through livelihood schemes
• Caring for the widows and orphans or those whose husbands are in prison for their Christian faith
• Writing to them to let them know they are remembered and prayed for  

Their courage is inspiring, their enduring faith in God is amazing and their love for their enemies and longing for their salvation is a challenge to us all.

Christian women living in some of the world's most dangerous places are despised, assaulted, disowned, destitute, and are risking death for their beliefs. These women demonstrate the power of hope in the face of enormous difficulties.
