Thanks for dropping by...
Open Doors Australia has recently launched a brand new youth movement titled My Heart Bleeds aimed at creating awareness about the true cost of following Jesus and inspiring youth and young adults to chase God harder, speak louder and stand stronger for His glory in this country.
The base to this movement is The Three Campaign a desire to see 5,000 people giving $3 per week to help the Persecuted Church. Mike Gore, Youth Director for Open Doors Australia says:
“5,000 people sacrificing one soft drink or one coffee per week can have a bigger impact than you could ever imagine an impact that doesn’t just affect the lives of the people receiving the financial support but an impact that can change the life of the giver, a combined impact that can change the spiritual temperature of a nation! You see, giving is not just about ‘how much’ or ‘who to’... giving, is about you, it’s about attitudes, it’s giving your faith an audible, loud, unashamedly passionate voice, it’s faith IN action, it’s you drawing closer to God and truly realising that it is more blessed to give than to receive, that a small sacrifice to one can make a massive difference to someone else. This is the heartbeat behind the My Heart Bleeds 3 Campaign.”
My Heart Bleeds uses stories from the Persecuted Church to inspire and shape the passion and faith of youth and young adults. Open Doors Australia regularly hears reports from the field that encourage those people living in countries where religious freedom is practiced openly to use the stories of persecution, tragedy and triumph to break the chains of complacency and truly realise the enormity of the gift of religious freedom.
