Bequests play a critical role in helping Open Doors continue its ministry to persecuted Christians.While general donations are the lifeblood of our day to day operations, bequests enable us to take on large or unexpected projects.
Over the years we have been blessed to receive a number of bequests which have come to us in times of great need... when the budget has been fully committed and resources stretched... and they have permitted us to finance urgent unforseen needs in the field.
When such requests arise, we must move quickly or opportunities can be lost. Without the generous bequests which substantially assisted in these projects, they could have been delayed for many years.
Bequests to Open Doors are put to work immediately. We do not invest in long-term funds. The needs of the suffering church are too great.
Before you consider how you might help suffering and persecuted believers through your Will, please pray for guidance in this deeply personal and important decision.
