What is a Bear In A Bag and why should I buy one?
A Bear In A Bag is your starting point for creating a toy for a child of the persecuted church and becoming a Knot Forgotten maker. Whether you’re a seasoned crocheter or a beginner, a Bear In A Bag equips you with the materials you need to create your first Knot Forgotten toy as well as important information about partnering with Open Doors as we share the love of Jesus with the children of the persecuted church.
By purchasing a Bear In A Bag, and signing up to become part of our Knot Forgotten community you will gain access to all six of our Knot Forgotten patterns. You will be able to stay up to date with Open Doors’ work, toy distributions, events and new patterns.
Your contribution will also help to support the ministry of Open Doors worldwide, and will ensure that we are able to continue to send your toys to children living under persecution.

Your Bear In A Bag also supports the ministry of Open Doors worldwide so you’ll not only receive supplies for creating a Knot Forgotten toy but you’ll help ensure we can deliver that toy and provide bibles, training and practical support to the global body of Christ.
How often are toys distributed to children?
Toys are distributed during Open Doors trips with Open Doors Australia teams over the duration of each year. Sometimes we’ll be able to provide photos of the children receiving their toys. Other times our staff hand the toys over to field teams who then take care of the distribution.
