International Day Of Prayer
A United Church
When the Church prays as one, the body of Christ is strengthened and the world changes for good.
The world needs a united, praying church now more than ever.
Will your church join us for the International Day of Prayer With the Persecuted Church on 7 November?
How It Works
1. Sign up below on behalf of your church, to receive your free resources – designed to assist you in praying with the persecuted church on the International Day Of Prayer.
2. On 7 November, take time in your service to pray with Christians all over the world, for those facing persecution.
It's that simple!
But we're here to help if you need it. If you require further resources or would like to know more about partnership with Open Doors, you can reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org. One of our Relationship Managers will get in contact with you!
“If we understood the potential power of our prayers, we would be on our knees a hundred times a day asking God for things that would turn this world upside down.” –Brother Andrew, founder of Open Doors.
What is the International Day Of Prayer?
The International Day Of Prayer for the persecuted church is a day set aside for the persecuted church.. On the first Sunday of November, the global Church is encouraged to stop and pray with persecuted Christians who suffer for the sake of Christ.
This year, you can join us on 7 November by signing up above.
How do I participate in The International Day Of Prayer?
Simple - you pray! We'd encourage you to pray with the persecuted church throughout the year, but on 7 November the global Church is putting a specific focus on the persecuted church. Praying with the persecuted church can be a daunting task, so we have created a free prayer pack to give you a starting point. Use the form above to let us know you'll be praying with us, and to receive your prayer pack.
Why should I pray with the persecuted church?
We think the words of this Egyptian pastor answer this question best.
"Please do not pray for us. Please pray with us. If you pray for us, you will pray for the wrong things. You will pray that the church will be safe. You will pray for persecution to cease. We are not praying for these things. We ask that we will be bold and clear in sharing our faith. And we pray that when the inevitable persecution comes, that we will not run away, that we will be faithful in that persecution even if it costs us our lives. Will you tell your friends to pray these prayers with us?"
What resources will I get when I sign up?
When you join us for the International Day Of Prayer, you will be equipped with a prayer guide, slides, social posts and videos. These resources are designed to help you share the International Day Of Prayer with your church community on 7 November.
