In Nepal, over 5,500 people have accessed essential items through Open Doors’ partners.

One partner, Ahupathi*, shared an update:

“Thank you for your faithful prayers! We came back from distributing relief items for over 47 families in various remote villages today. It took almost 10 hours from morning until evening! We feel blessed to reach out to the needy people and see their happy faces.

“We give glory and honour to our compassionate God and for His provisions. We also extend our thanks to the people with a heart for Nepali Christians. I cannot explain how much you have impacted the lives of the Christians here. God bless you.”

In Sri Lanka, Pastor Nihal* says that emergency relief, including packages of soap, rice, dahl, biscuits and milk, has been reaching families who lost their income due to COVID-19.

“I’ve never seen them so happy,” he said. “Some of these children have not tasted milk in years because their parents can’t afford it. Thank you for helping us.”

Open Doors’ partners have also equipped over 73,000 people in India with essential items.

One local village pastor, Rajan*, said, “Due to this lockdown, no church service can take place, leaving us in a difficult situation. We are so thankful for the provision. Thank you so much.”

With your help, persecuted Christians in Southern Asia can support their families and continue as a light for Jesus in their communities.

Please continue praying for the Church during COVID-19.

Pray For COVID-19:

  • Praise God for the provision over His people in Southern Asia.
  • Pray for safety and guidance as Open Doors’ partners continue to reach believers in more isolated and hostile regions.
  • Pray Christians will be an example of God’s love, peace, and generosity even in the midst of COVID-19.
