Nepal: Between Two Powers.
India and Nepal are two of three countries in the world with a Hindu majority, and both have increased drastically in persecution. Support from India is provoking Hindu radicals in Nepal. Christians face attacks from local Hindu priests, Hindu radical groups and even their own communities.

A Jump In Persecution.
In 2018, Nepal’s ranking jumped from outside the top 50 to halfway up the World Watch List at number 25.

The church has been growing rapidly in Nepal since it became a secular democracy in 2008. This growth of Christianity saw a growth of persecution. Power shifted in 2015 and now radical Hindu groups are seeking to see Nepal reinstated as a completely Hindu nation.

In the last year, many churches and Christians were attacked, Christians were arrested and jailed, and other Christians had to flee their homes and villages because of threats. Even though persecution has increased so much in the last year, the number of Christians in Nepal is growing at a breath-taking rate.

Your help makes a difference for persecuted Christians in Nepal by:

  • Providing Bibles, children's Bibles, and Sunday school materials.

  • Providing biblical training to prepare churches for persecution.
  • Providing community development: adult literacy programs, bridge schooling for children, vocational education, legal seminars.

  • Rapid Action Teams to give urgent aid and relief for persecuted Christians.

Pray for Nepal

Pray that Christians will continue to be bold amidst new laws limiting evangelism.

Pray for many Hindu’s to discover Jesus as their only Saviour.

Pray for the political future of Nepal, and for the church continue to grow.
