When it comes to persecution there’s no young or old.
PRAY TOGETHER. PAY TOGETHER.
Countless believers follow Jesus as a family, suffering violence together for their unified faith. Children are targeted for their parents’ beliefs, often enduring the same punishment despite being so young.
The brutality of persecution can fracture family bonds. It seeds fear and despair. It drives out peace. Parents worry for their children’s safety and wellbeing. Children carry the full weight of their family’s suffering. Persecution tells them they’re all alone, that hope is lost and no one cares.
Your generosity will tell a very different story and make a meaningful difference.
Just $70 will support a child to attend a special gathering to find fellowship, friendship, and Christian community.
This Christmas, encourage a persecuted child, support their loved ones, and strengthen them as a family.
Persecution doesn’t discriminate
PARENTS AND CHILDREN SUFFER EQUALLY
“I felt deeply worried because we were losing everything,” Alicia says sadly. “Even members of our own family turned against us because we decided to stop contributing to the festivals.”
When Alicia’s father approached the village assembly with two other Christian men, it was to peacefully explain their reasons for opting out of traditional festivals. But the leaders responded with violence.
“We had never seen anything like that before,” Alicia recalls.
Following Jesus has been difficult in the remote area of Oaxaca, Mexico, where they live. They are expected to observe customs and rituals, but worshipping other deities is not an option.
“A Christian should not do that,” Alicia says. “The Lord has taught us to worship only Him.”
Her parents have lost their land. Her father, a farmer, can’t work or feed his family. “They wanted to ban us from going to school or accessing medical care,” Alicia adds.
Families like Alicia’s lose everything because of their faith. This Christmas, please support vulnerable families in desperate need.
