Your Presence Makes A Difference
This is your opportunity to meet persecuted Christians and see the impact you’re making.
For over 60 years Open Doors has visited and supported persecuted Christians around the world. Believers tell us that our support, encouragement and prayers make a difference. They tell us that when we meet with them, our presence makes a difference.
Open Doors Monthly Givers and Church leaders are invited to meet the persecuted church, and see Open Doors' ministry on the ground. We believe your experience has the potential to transform your faith, prayer life and connection with the global church.

"My time with persecuted Christians was incredible. God used it to grow my faith in Him as I stepped out of my comfort zone."

What can I expect on the trip?
Open Doors trips are life-changing. You can expect to be challenged in your faith, inspired by the people you meet, and motivated to pray. You may also be pushed outside your comfort zone, as you step into an unfamiliar culture and environment. But know that God is at work and that your presence makes a difference!

What will a typical day look like?
Each day usually starts with breakfast and team devotions, followed by the day’s program (a combination of travelling, meeting believers, visiting churches, praying, and tourist activities). The day ends with dinner and a short debrief, where you will also be told of the plans for the next day. Where time allows, you will also have some free time throughout the trip. Trips generally run for around 5 - 12 days, depending on where you travel.

Who can go on Open Doors trips?
Trips are available to Open Doors monthly givers who have supported us for a long time or a little. This is an opportunity for you to see the impact you’re having by supporting the persecuted church. We’re also inviting church leaders and pastors to meet the persecuted church first hand. It’s a life-changing experience for anyone in leadership to meet with underground churches and secret believers.
"A visitor prayed for me and I felt relieved of all the problems I was battling with, I could feel God speaking to me and encouraging me."
